Brett “2D” Bean
Character Designer and Visual Development Artist

After asking to be a drummer to his mother at an early age, Brett Bean was handed a piece of paper and a pencil because it was, “much more quiet.” Unbeknownst to his mother and her simple gesture of headache reduction methodology, she spurred on a career of a full-fledged character design and visual development artist.

Since those fateful years, Brett has contributed to Film, TV, games both digital and analog, pitches, manuals, and books. His Client list Includes Disney TV, Nickelodeon, Nerd Corps., Wizards of the Coast, Bento Box, Shadow Machine, The Hub, Space time Studios, Leap Frog, Rumble Inc., Kellog’s, Gazillion Entertainment., Big Idea Entertainment, Imagine FX and More.
When not working for clients he is busy on his first graphic novel called Space Out! and fine tuning his own pitches for the screen.
With a passion for travel, caffeine, volleyball, Tom Waits, and speaking in the a 3rd person vernacular, Brett currently free-lances, teaches, and lives with his wife Julie, a brilliant jewelry designer, in Pasadena, CA.

Interests
Woohoo!

It's that time of year again.  Time to get some time together for 5 sweaty crazy insane days!
Join me at Booth F-08 in the exhibitor section at this years Convention in San Diego.

I will be open for commissions, I will have a new commission Creature Creation Station where you get to help decide what creature I make for you.

New jewelry
New art prints
the new graphic Novel Spaced Out!
Art of books
and
original art!

Stop on by and say hello.

Support the artists, writers, and creators.  Fight your way past the conglomerates, the dinging game machines, and the TV studios telling you to watch zombies.  Find the people and folks who actually do the work!!!  Artist Alley, small Press, Exhibitors, and web comic folk.

Comic Con is vastly changing but we all rely on your support of us as creators.  Without all of them, there would literally be no Comic Con, any art, stories you love, or designs you have on shirts!

See you there.

I'm sure they have. I work, and when I'm not working, no reason to take work or art with me everywhere.  When I'm away from my desk it's my opportunity to live.  Or I'd rather use real material to create ;)
